Casterne Hall is a Grade II* manor house stunningly set in its own grounds within the Peak District National Park. Featuring in Simon Jenkins' book, ‘ England 's Thousand Best Houses', Casterne Hall is considered to be one of the most beautiful houses in the area.

There has always been a house at Casterne and there are Roman remains in the foundations. Rebuilt in 1730, Casterne Hall has a classic Georgian front and incorporating a fascinating 17th century and Medieval back. The rooms are panelled and there is a complete absence of traffic noise.
